Neimad
Information

Neimad, the Dark Wizard, is an obviously antagonistic individual whose presence is largely unfelt by the residents of Myrken Wood - and intentionally so. Though it is clear that he doesn't act on any rightousness, or for the good of the populace, it isn't clear what his aims or goals are at all; unlike the Drow, he has not obviously set out to reclaim the land, and unlike the powers responsible for the plague and Archimedes, Neimad does not appear bent on complete death and destruction.

Nonetheless...he is obviously not a friend.

Appearance

The Dark Wizard is just that - dark. Not so much in his coloring, but there is a definite...feel around the man. If one could call him that; the skinless flesh that covers his body is speckled and diseased, flaked away in some areas and ever peeling in others. He is of average height and looks like a sickly, frail old man, though his movements and dark grace hint at other truths.

Neimad has sharp, gaunt features; a crooked beak of a nose, sunken eyes, and a sharp, pointed chin. It was an unattractive bone structure made worse by the lacking elasticity and flesh. Red eyes surrounding black pupils stare out in a manner unfitting any wearing a humanoid shape.

Other Description

Neimad is older by far than his body allowed in life, animated by dark magics. His knowledge of the Arcane Arts is vast, but certainly not endless - the Dark Wizard is ever seeking of more power, in whatever form it can be found.

The dark energies that motivate and strengthen his dead flesh make him an able and worthy in melee combat, though it his great arsenal of spells that make him truly dangerous - everything from teleportation to summoning extraplanar beasts and golems is within Neimad's power.

History

In Myrken Wood

Myrken Wood had never interested the Dark Wizard until recently; there had been great surges of power in the area, from Coran D'zir's handling of the flood, to the powers that had drastically altered Myrken's weather. These all left ripples - ripples that brought the territory under his attention. He came for the first time and encountered Archimedes, and was convinced of the greater powers at work.

Neimad had been waiting for those powers to show themselves.

In the meantime, Neimad encountered a strange entity living within the Broken Dagger. Suhtamdua, he had named It, though the name was lost on the rest of the tavern populace, who simply referred to it as It. Recognizing great potential and power in the creature, the Dark Wizard worked quickly to enslave it - earning the blame for many of Its actions from individuals like Ignas Demonsbane, one of the few to percieve the threat from the Dark Wizard. It struggled and rebelled, however, ultimately forcing Neimad to destroy the entity.

Outside Myrken Wood

Neimad has never been all that active in the public eye - few know of him, and fewer know what he's done. He remains behind the scenes for the most part, even in his own schemes - because of this, there is little known about him, or what he's done in the past. No one even knows how old he is.

Current Status

Neimad is surely creeping around somewhere in Myrken Wood after the failure of Suhtamdua, waiting for the inevitable powers that be to come upon the land.
