Description
Like his firstborn son, Richard Andrew Aengus, Richard Scott Aengus was a short, portly, pink fairy with an enormous pink beard, favoring identical fashions. In temperament, however, he was a much more selfish, self-centered, and rash individual, prone to placing orders on his subjects without taking time to think through the results of such. One of these involved the conception of his children when he was 337 years old: on thinking his wife, Marian I, infertile, he ordered his physician's wife to serve as a surrogate mother, only to discover soon that both women were pregnant with his children. Richard Aengus was born both first and pink, assuring the baby the throne in time while his half-brother Orin was born second and white-skinned, destined under William Aengus's caste system known as the Hiberan Color Laws to be raised near the royal family by the king's physician but not to be first in line for being king.
Background
Origins
Richard Scott Aengus was the son of William Aengus and the father to Richard Aengus and Dr. Orin Barrin. The elder Richard took the throne after William's passing when Richard was only fifty years old, making him roughly equivalent in age to a human boy of ten years at the time. He ruled both combined Hibera kingdoms for 337 years before dying at the age of 387. His death led to his succession by his then fifty year old son, Richard, who followed very much in his father's footsteps in many respects as a person and a ruler.

Richard Scott Aengus never ventured outside the kingdom that was his primary residence; this region would now be considered Old Hibera.
