Description

At six feet even, Serrus might be considered tall, but he's hardly a giant compared to some creatures living on the outskirts of Myrkentown. Long hair and ruddy facial features only serve to harden the man's surly demeanour, a common mood he presents when he's not being smug or saracastic about the state of things. The man is always seen dressed for "work", with a leather brigandine over chainmail, armed with a kriegsmesser and dirk at his side. He's commonly seen traversing about Myrken Wood on horseback when he's not finding solace within the confines of a less-than reputable wine sink, brothel or dive.

Background

Origins

A topic that is rarely discussed, though it is common knowledge that Serrus is a 'Granger', spending a good part of his life in Xanth Grange, undertaking military duty and married life as well as possibly childhood in the fertile province. Nowadays, the sellsword remains solitary for the most part, finding more company in ale and whores than any particular persons in general, although he has been known to associate with a certain few of Myrkentown's denizens, for better or for worse.

The Broken Dagger

Serrus made a few overnight visits to the Broken Dagger in the Summer of AR 212 while undertaking various mercenary activities between the provinces of Derry and Xanth Grange. In 214 AR he found more gainful employment in Myrkentown itself, first providing escort to merchants and the fledging nobility, then finally as a mercenary in the services of Lady Egris Verreaux. During this time he has been a feature of the inn, or rather, a notable part of the furniture since the man is rarely a social animal.

The Present

Serrus has been biding his time finding work between Derry and Xanth Grange, stopping for short visits to Myrkentown in between.
