  • A small incident passed today at the Broken Dagger where a rather magnificently dressed individual that named himself Mr. Wilford Bartholomew Breaks broke a count of four tables, two windows, two chairs, a good portion of the porch railing, and one of the pillars that held up the aforementioned porch belonging to the tavern. Many would attribute the terms "insane" and "crazed" to this man, but he seemed to have a very gentlemanly airs about him despite shattering a great many things; he was also very dignified and eloquent, at the least. A drunken Treadwell attempted to stop him, and failed; a rather shiny-metallic (and vitriolic) Ariane Carnath-Emory also attempted, and (although she got a kiss on the back of the hand for her efforts!) also "failed". When the schiavona lass was about to gut him, when Treadwell attempted to sentence him to the Gaol, and right when he was about to break more stuff, Mr. Breaks' very fancy stopwatch dinged - and he disappeared swiftly, vaulting out of the window in a flash of movement, off to pick up his darling Magatha from school, holding his bowler hat and monocle to make sure they didn't fly off in his haste. Although most people wanted to kill him, everyone would agree that, at the very least, Mr. Wilford Bartholomew Breaks was the very epitome of a cultured gentleman. Mostly everyone. Mostly. "Mostly" being a loose term up for negotiation. --Awry 01:34, 27 December 2006 (PST)
  • A large body count of drow has been found in the middle of town. They were lightly equipped, armed with crossbows and blades, and not much armor. Likely scouts, they were killed in various ways (dismemberment, evisceration, impalement, multiple bones breaking); no civilian casualties or otherwise were recorded, only drow. The guard came after the killings had happened (predictably), and found Sabrion the bard looting as much as he could carry from the corpses. Although Sabrion accounted for himself and the warrior woman he knows as Daisy, to others known as Elil as the sole people who battled the drow, the way Sabrion described the battle left the watch to believe there was one or more others involved, as quite a few drow bodies were found off to the side from the main area where the fight took place. Whoever it had been, though, had made away cleanly without being seen by at least Sabrion. Allowed to keep the loot he took from the corpses, Sabrion and Elil were also written off quietly from breaking the curfew since they aided in the defense of Myrken Wood by killing the drow scouts. --Awry 22:55, 20 December 2006 (PST)
