Plots 12 05
December, 2005
- Suede Roschen, Councilor for Agriculture, announces in a letter to the Judiciary Council and Captain Daniels that he has claimed the position of Councilor for Administrative Sanctions. In response, Captain Daniels places the Councilor under house arrest, a fact of which the 'indisposed' Councilor contrives to remain ignorant.
- A Council degree of unknown origins finds its way to the Captain's desk, detailing the necessity to reduce the Order of Straka's funding by some 20%. On discovering this, the Councilor for Defence and Civil Security, Kerrak al'Nerun, supplies a hundredweight of Thessilane gold to the Order, in compensation.
- Subsequent to a poor harvest, the import of grains and other goods from Amasynia begins.
- A decree from the 'Myrkenwood Administrative Sanctions Office' is discovered pinned to the front door of Treadwell's toyshop, detailing the forfeiture of the man's property and goods to the Judiciary Council. A day later, it is removed by Lieutenant Kilborn; in response, the Order's funding is halved.
- The brutally mutilated corpse of Sergeant Hickensen, The Order of Straka, is discovered near the Straka Barracks -- as is the gypsy Sill Darridan-Babtista, who is immediately taken into the Order's custody.
- Sill soon confesses an association with Jirai, a known companion of Councilor Roschen; on discovering this fact, and that the name 'Suede' is scrawled bloodily across Hickensen's back, Captain Daniels immediately charges the Councilor with:
- Conspiracy to break into the Order of Straka Barracks
- Unlawful association with the Black Market
- Evasion of arrest
- Kidnapping
- Torture
- Murder.
- The drow Jirai is able to tentatively acquire the services of barrister Helstone for her companion, Councilor Roschen.
